Kathmandu – The Nepal Educational Counselling Services Association (NECSA) has announced that it will soon organize Nepal’s first-ever Korean Education Fair, marking a new milestone in the country’s international education landscape.
According to NECSA, the fair will serve as a gateway for Nepali students aspiring to pursue higher education in Korea, one of Asia’s leading hubs for quality education, technology and research. The venue and date of the event will be officially declared in the coming days.
Speaking about the upcoming fair, NECSA President Santosh Khanal said, “This fair is not just about creating awareness of Korean universities, but also about providing genuine guidance and direct access for students who are eager to explore opportunities in Korea. We aim to ensure that students receive transparent and trustworthy information.”
The event is expected to feature representatives from renowned Korean universities and institutions who will directly interact with students and parents. They will provide details on study programs, scholarship opportunities, admission procedures, language requirements, and career prospects after graduation.
NECSA officials highlighted that the fair will not only promote higher education opportunities but also strengthen Nepal–Korea academic cooperation. They believe that the initiative will open doors for future collaboration in areas such as technology, innovation, and cultural exchange.
Prof. Yam Khatri, Chief Advisor of NECSA and Faculty at Sejong University, Seoul, said, “This fair will be a gateway for Nepali students to connect with top Korean universities and explore genuine opportunities for quality education and research.”
The association further emphasized its broader mission of fostering ethical, professional and student-friendly consultancy practices in Nepal. By bringing global education fairs like this, NECSA aims to create long-term pathways for Nepali students to access international opportunities.
The announcement of the Korean Education Fair comes at a time when the demand for studying in Korea has been steadily increasing among Nepali youths, largely due to affordable education costs, high academic standards and promising career avenues.
