Plot and Review:
Movie starts from year 1942 and revolves around the era of 60’s. The story starts from the orphanage of Roy’s and Joy’s orphanage, The Jamnadas orphanage (from Golmaal). Two sets of identical twins in the orphanage were ready to be adopted by two families. But the Roy interchanges the twin pairs experimenting does bloodline really matters or upbringing is the whole sole of individual character. The messy story line starts when the parents name all 4 kids Roy (Ranveer Singh), and Joy(Varun Sharma) with a respect to the founders of the orphanage.
One pair of Roy-Joy are shaping up their lives in Bangalore as businessmen and other pair of Roy-Joy are performing in a circus as the growing the family business after the death of their parents in Ooty. Ooty’s Roy is famous as electric man as he is merely affected by electricity and is married but his wife Mala (Pooja Hegde) is disappointed as she can’t give birth and wanted to adopt. But Roy believes bloodline matters so he is not interested for adoption. The Roy in Bangalore is in love with Bindu (Jacqueline Fernandez) and is willing to buy a tea state in Ooty.
The story revolves around the mystery that what could happen when two pair of Roy-Joy will face each other (which is hardly interesting). The Grip of the story line is almost zero. The movie stands out as comedy movie without comedy sense. The dialogues are not funny at all. Only Siddhartha Jadhav and Sanjay Mishra(with same comedy acting ) do their job of bringing laughter else whole film fails to tickle us.
Rohit Shetty (famous for his good comedy movies like Golmaal, all the best) along with a lot of comedians in cameo fails to bring comedy movie. Ranveer Singh looks he is learning acting (expected better acting like in Simba). The movie is a remake of Bollywood move Angoor (Which itself is remake of Do Dooni Char) is based on Shakespeare’s Comedy of errors. But the movie looks like “Errors in Comedy”.
But the vivid colours of the era brings a pleasant view on the screen but the bright colors totally proves the fake setup of the movie which adds next disappointment for keen watchers.
Verdict for watch or not: One time watch is not a bad idea but there are more interesting things to enjoy with family.
